Cashing on ATM

ATMs that accept overseas credit cards

The ATMs at postoffices and Seven-Eleven Stores (convenience stores) provide cash withdrawal services for credit cards and cash cards issued outside of Japan, including Visa, Plus, Mastercard, Maestro, Cirrus, American Express and JCB cards. There are several such ATMs within a 5 minutes' walk of the conference venue (see also Lunch Map above). Please refer to the following websites and check if your credit or cash card can be used in those ATMs.

NOTICE: Some Mastercard, Maestro and Cirrus cards issued outside of Japan are temporarily unable to make withdrawals at ATMs located in Japan from April 19, 2013. Please refer to the website below for details.

Prepaid e-money card for transportation / Suica and PASMO

Suica, PASMO

Suica and PASMO are prepaid and rechargeable IC cards that can be used for train/bus services by railways, subways and bus networks (with some exceptions). By touching the charged card to a scanner on the top of ticket gate (no need to take the card out from a pass holder), an appropriate fare is automatically deducted from the card. These cards can also be used for payments at a rapidly increasing number of vending machines, shops and restaurants by simply touching the card on a reader. Please refer to the following websites for details.
